Reed-Bullwinkle Act of 1948

Formally exempted motor carriers from antitrust laws and allowed the ICC full regulatory and policing powers over the transportation industry providing exclusive aid to the benefit of railroads and to the detriment of all competing transportation industries, particularly trucking.
